After suffering from a house fire in 2015, Heather’s family moved to Hanover. Since then, she has been trying to find them another stable home. During COVID, she continued to get outbid, and now with rising interest rates and rent increases she cannot afford to purchase.
Heather is a property preservation specialist at a local bank. She has three daughters, Trinity (17), Winter (15) and Scarlett (10). They love the outdoors! They enjoy fishing, kayaking, and visiting the beach.
Heather believes everything happens for a reason. She said Habitat’s program is finally going to make affordable homeownership a reality. It will be “a place we can call ours… a safe place that no one can take away.” They are looking forward to personalizing the home to represent them and cooking steaks on the grill!
