You Can Help

Your donation helps provide families with strength, stability and self-reliance. When families have an affordable home, they are able to invest in their community and their families. They are able to ensure their families are healthy, succeeding in school and work and giving back into their community.

When you donate your car to Habitat for Humanity, we turn it into cash that supports local families. In addition to making an impact locally, it’s quick and easy!

We accept cars, trucks, RV’s, vans, SUV’s, boats and motorcycles whether they are running or not.  Your donation may also be tax deductible.

Why should I donate my car to Hanover & King William Habitat for Humanity?

All net proceeds from the sale of your vehicle will support Hanover & King William Habitat for Humanity and help local families in our communities.

How do I donate my car?

Our team will ask about your vehicle, including the make, model, vehicle identification number (VIN) and current mileage.  When your vehicle is accepted, schedule a day and time for us to pick it up.

Hanover & King William Habitat for Humanity needs land on which to build homes for hardworking families. If you own property in Hanover or King William Counties that you want to donate please call 804-569-6108.

In-Kind donations and pro-bono services are goods & professional services given voluntarily to help an organization offset costs. It can help Habitat build capacity without increasing our operating expenses.

We have identified these current areas of need within Hanover and King William Habitat for Humanity:

  • In-Kind Material or Labor Donations Needed (for new construction and/or repairs): Roofing, Plumbing, Electrical, Foundation, Work, Grading, Landscaping
  • Pro-Bono Service Examples: Photography, Drone Footage, Marketing, Website Redesign, Technology, Etc.

In addition to these opportunities, you may have a specific skill set or professional expertise that could be beneficial to fulfilling our vision of providing everyone a decent place to live.
