KeeKee is proud to have come from public housing and now be pursuing homeownership! She and her four children, one boy (17) and three girls (3, 13, 16) currently live in an apartment in Mechanicsville. They need more space to thrive. The crowded conditions can be mentally draining for her teenagers. A larger home will allow them to have meals together in their kitchen and give them room to spend quality time as a family.

KeeKee had little to no support throughout her journey. She now works as a community health worker to help others find the resources they need. She believes in meeting people where they are. Owning a home will mean breaking generational curses for her family.

“Watching God answer my prayers is a beautiful thing!” KeeKee lives by the 3 P’s, trust God’s purpose, plan, and process. She said Habitat’s program is a blessing that will give her family stability and change their lives for the better!
